(2)     City Schools of Decatur, GA - Asst program Mgr for $33MIL School Capital Construction Program (7 Projects - $4 MIL Football Stadium Seating; $10.5 MIL Gym; $1.1 MIL Storm / Sewer System Realignment & Upgrades; $1.5 MIL Science Wing Renovations; $7.4 MIL Auditorium; $1.2 MIL Football Field Turf & Drainage;; $7.2 MIL Middle School Gymnasium

Developed Master Budget and Master Schedule as well as a Program Management Plan. Authored RFP/Q documents and managed the advertising, receipt of submissions, selection process, scope verification, contract negotiation, and contract execution for architectural services, construction services, land surveyor, asbestos abatement, demolition, and geotechnical engineering services. Completed presentations for community/public, local permit authorities, Zoning boards, and school board.

(3)     George Pierce Park - $6.7MIL. Construction Mgr (Owner Representative) for 25,518 SF community center with (4) additional parking lots, soccer field renovations, and multi-purpose trail. Provided daily on-site representation, inspection, observation, conflict resolution, etc. during construction as the hub for all project information between Owner, Engineers, Architect, and Contractor.

(4)     Lake Lanier Islands Development Authority - $100+ MIL Construction Mgr/Lead Estimator. I led a team effort response to a RFP for Program and Construction Management at a state controlled recreational resort. The program called for road rehabilitation, new vehicular and pedestrian bridge, water treatment facility upgrades, new lighting in ROW, new theater, hotel, etc. As the representative from the firm taking the lead, my responsibilities were to partner with several team member contractors to develop the estimate and the schedule as well as other program services and the final fee. Project was shelved.

 

C&S ENGINEERS, Syracuse, NY; July 2003 – July 2005

·                     Sr. Construction Manager

Construction Manager of Water Treatment Facility. Provided on-site daily management of construction and inspection operations. Project included: (1) 2.5 MG underground storage tank, (1) underground disinfection tank, a Regional Treatment Facility with underground Vortex Separators and above ground facility/office, and 1800 LF+ of conveyance piping. Provided pre-construction services to advise owner and engineering team of best practices and approach to complete scopes of work, developed the bid forms for multiple prime contracts including unit prices, alternates, and allowances, co-managed the bid process with the engineer-of-record including communication of addenda. Managed daily construction through (4) prime trade contractors. Monthly reporting to client.

THACKER OPERATING CO., Atlanta, GA; July 2002 – July 2003

·                     Construction Manager

Construction Manager of Airport project. The project required on-site daily management of construction and inspection operations for the reconstruction of several thousand square feet of an air carrier apron as well as new construction of an oil & water separator. The project also required necessary gate relocations and terminal improvements to accommodate construction. Direct Reporting to the Birmingham Airport Authority (Board) was required.

Construction Manager duties: Constructability reviews, Administration of contracts (General Contractor, Engineer-of-Record, Material Testing), quantity verifications, applications for payment, RFI, change order, and submittals processing, daily and monthly reports, progress photos, 

Construction Observation/Inspection duties: verify work in accordance with documents, record and manage non-conforming work, quantity verifications, management of material testing operations and contract, review test reports and advise owner of options, upkeep of record drawings and as-builts,

b) $1.3 MIL. Project Manager for Precast Pedestrian ramp (Gate D) attached to Georgia Dome. Required coordination with local commuter rail organization as means and methods required significant load over existing tunnel.

c) $60 MIL. Asst Project Manager for Jones Ave Parking Lot Project”, a 200,000 SF new construction parking lot. Provided contracts management, RFI, submittal and change order management. Updated drawings, progress photos, etc. Managed the pay application process with a Superintendent for all work above.

(2)     Langford Pkwy Elem School - $13.8 MIL. Asst Project Manager for 128,500+ SF new 1-story, steel frame, brick veneer school

(3)     Hartsfield Airport Tech Support Facility - $5MIL. MEP and QA/QC Specialist (P/T) for 55,000 SF 1-storyoffice building. Provided MEP inspection for compliance with documents and for pay authorizations

(4)     Atlantic Station Retaining Wall and Truck Dock - $1.5MIL. Subcontract Mgr. (P/T) for 16,800 SF, 1096 LF Block retaining wall, w/C-I-P columns, pilasters, and truck dock wall. Prime Contractor was Vratsinas Construction Co

(5)     Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church - $2.3 MIL Estimate. Estimator working with subcontractors to produce a budget for a 17,500 SF Pre-Engineered metal building expansion. Church could not produce funds

(6)     Bibleway Ministries - $350K Estimate. Estimator working with subcontractors to produce a budget for a 5,000 SF Pre-Engineered metal building expansion. Church could not produce funds

(7)     Newman Building, City of Macon, GA - $2 MIL Estimate. Estimator working with architect and subcontractors to produce a design-build order of magnitude budget for a 3-story interior renovation of existing building to be used for city employee office space.

(8)     Salem Baptist Church - $10.8 MIL Estimate. Estimator working with Sr. estimator, project superintendent, and subcontractors to produce a Lump Sum bid for a new construction, 85,000 SF, 1-story church. Placed 3rd out of 4 invited bidders. Winning bidder submitted $10 MIL

(9)     Tup Holmes Golf Course Clubhouse - $450K Estimate. Estimator working with subcontractors to produce a Lump Sum bid for a complete interior renovation to a fire damaged, 2-story wood structure. Placed 2nd out of 4 invited bidders. $400k+
